NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: A number of residents in Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad have said their names are either missing from voters’ list prepared last year or have errors in them, at a time the administration has started a two-month long drive for verification. The numbers vary: while residents maintain that up to 30% of names on the voters’ list has anomalies, the district election offices in both districts claim the figure to be less than 5%.The reason for the mistakes, admit officials, is that booth-level officers (BLOs) hardly visit the camps held to register the voters or incorrect entries by both residents and BLOs.
