Noida: Swine flu cases up to 3, two kids test positive

NOIDA: Two siblings in Greater Noida were confirmed to be infected with swine flu , taking the total number of patients in the district to three so far.The siblings, aged five and six years, stay in Beta 1 in Greater Noida. The reports have confirmed the disease in both the children.The first case of swine flu was reported from the Fortis hospital where an Allahabad-based 59-year-old man had expired. The patient was admitted to the hospital on September 9 and expired within two days, health officials said. They were admitted to Max Hospital, Greater Noida on September 24 and had reported symptoms of viral fever.However, as their condition worsened, tests were conducted in the hospital which revealed that they were H1N1 positive.The children were, however, discharged from the hospital on September 29 and the hospital informed the health department about the cases.Chief medical officer, Dr Anurag Bhargava, said a report from the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Delhi was received on Wednesday.
