Noida plans to end dog bite cases, sterilise strays

Noida: The Noida Authority has floated a tender to rope in animal welfare organisations for its animal birth control programme.
The organisation will be responsible for sterilisation and immunisation of stray dogs in the city.
Several agencies should be hired for the proper and timely implementation of the exercise,” he said.
They should have adequate staff (technical and non-technical) and vehicles as well for picking up and releasing sterialised dogs to the area from where they had been picked up.The programme will be conducted as per the Animal Birth Control (Dog) Rules, 2001.
The last date of application is October 17.
