Greater Noida: A 24-year-old youth was killed after his Pulsar bike collided with a broken down bus on Sunday night at the Greater Noida Expressway. His 20-year-old roommate, who was riding pillion , received critical injuries and was rushed to Kailash Hospital in Kasna.The deceased has been identified as Sachin, a native of Bijnor district in UP while his friend Suraj Gaur is a native of Bihar. Both of them worked in the a private company in Noida and lived in a rented accommodation in Tugalpur area of Greater Noida.The accident occurred around 8.30pm when the duo was returning from Faridabad and heading towards Pari Chowk.The duo collided with a bus that was parked at the left side of the road on the expressway . The passerby informed the police control room and a team soon reached the spot and rushed them to the hospital.“Sachin was reported dead on arrival while Suraj was admitted in the ICU as he received critical injuries. We were informed that Sachin was riding the Pulsar bike when it collided. None of the victims’ families have filed any complaint,” said Tarun Verma, the information officer assigned to the case.Shekhar Pawar, Sachin’s uncle told TOI that he was living in Noida for past two years.“At the night of the accident he was coming from his cousin’s place in Faridabad along with a friend,” Pawar added. His body was taken to his hometown where he was cremated on Sunday.Meanwhile, Suraj is said to be out of danger.“The patient has received a fracture in his right pelvis. Apart with this, he has a minor head injury and a major injury in his testicles for which he is kept under constant observation in the ICU of the Hospital,” a spokesperson from the Kailash Hospital in Kasna told TOI on Monday.
