NOIDA: In an effort to go paperless and facilitate online services, the Noida Authority has made it mandatory for all property owners, both individuals and commercial, to register their property on its website from November 1. The owners will be allotted a Know Your Allottee-Unique Identity number (KYA-UID), which will help them track their property details and status online.From November 1, an allottee/property holder can upload a form along with his/her ID proof and a scanned copy of allotment/transfer letter on the website — www.noidaauthorityonline.com. The allottee will then get a KYA-UID number. The KYA-UID will preserve all the details of the allottee’s property.According to Rajesh Kumar Singh, officer on special duty, Noida Authority, all services related to property, including sale and purchase, will become online. “It is part of our property management information system (PMIS), which we aim to make online/digital from November 1,” said Singh.“The process to initiate digital authentication of an allotee/ owner’s property is a step towards transparency as well as a paperless office ,” he added. However, the officials are yet to clarify on when the entire process will be completed.For individual allottees, their PAN card, Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving licence or passport can be scanned and uploaded for proof of identity. For organisations/institutions, proof of identity can be the company’s PAN card, registrar of companies’ certificate (ROC) or GST registration certificate.In addition to this, allottees have to upload a scanned copy of their allotment/transfer or mutation letter as well, while organisations can upload their Change in Constitution letter.In case of any difficulty in the registration process, allottees can call on helpline 9818821433. “With this move, Noida Authority will become paperless as allottees can track their property details and status online. Also, it will be a deterrent to fraudulent sale or purchase of property, as the owner will get an SMS alert on any change in details of his/her property,” said Rajesh Kumar Singh.FONRWA president N P Singh, though welcomed the step, remained sceptical about its proper implementation. “We welcome the move but we will have to see how far the Authority will be successful in this as what we’ve seen is that even today residents have to make many rounds to procure a simple water challan or other such documents from the authority,” said Singh, who owns a property in Sector 35.Suresh Tiwari, senior vicepresident, FONRWA, and owner of a property in Sector 20, welcomed the move, saying it is is beneficial for the residents. “I welcome this move as its a step towards more transparency,” said Tiwari.Join ET Prime for fast, insight-rich analysis of news that matters to you.
