Ghaziabad: Nearly 21 days after a 24-year-old unemployed youth disappeared from his house in Sihani Gate area, the city police filed an FIR on his mother’s missing complaint.The youth had taken loans from two banks and was not able to return them. His mother accused police of not registering her complaint despite repeated requests.The man, identified as Vivek Kumar, who works at a factory, had left his home in Bhatia Mor on October 20, telling her mother that he was going for an interview, but did not return. Vivek’s mother Mithlesh said she later found a letter and his phone at home.While all the data was deleted from the phone, in the letter, he asked his mother not to look for him as he was not able to get a good job and also not able to pay off his loans of Rs 20,000.Mithlesh said when she went to Nasirpur police outpost to lodge a missing person’s complaint, the cops present there did not register a complaint and instead asked her to look for him on her own.Vivek had taken personal loans from two financial companies, and after his disappearance, their collection agents twice came home to enquire about the payment.SHO, Sihani Gate, Sanjay Pandey said, “The woman had come to the police station for the first time on Saturday, and a missing person’s complaint has been registered. As far as the delay at the level of the police post is concerned, an inquiry will be conducted.”
