Ghaziabad: An 11-year-old boy has been detained for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in Muradnagar on Friday evening. Children of labourers, both live in houses opposite to each other in a village in Muradnagar.An FIR has been registered against the boy under Section 376 ( rape ) of IPC and under sections 4 and 5 of POCSO Act. According to police, a medical examination of the girl, who studies in KG, has been conducted. The boy, a student of Class III, would be produced before a juvenile court on Monday, they added.The girl’s father told police that his daughter was playing outside his house when the boy took her to a nearby plot on the pretext of buying her some food items. When the girl raised an alarm, locals rushed to the spot and found the girl lying in a pool of blood. The boy had fled. The girl narrated the incident to her parents, who took her to a government hospital in Sanjay Nagar.“An FIR has been registered against the boy on a complaint by the girl’s parents. The age of the boy will be verified and the statement of the girl will be recorded before a magistrate. Further investigation is going on,” said Arvind Kumar Maurya, SP (rural)On October 10, two youths were arrested for allegedly murdering and raping a seven-year-old girl and hiding her body on the roof a mosque in Muradnagar.
