Nigerian man on scooter dies in accident near mall

He then started a garment business. He had been staying on a tourist visa with his cousin in a rented flat in Sector P3. The 30-year-old had come to India a few years ago.The accident happened near Grand Venice Mall around 4am when Emmanuel was going towards Aechar Chowki. A police patrol team rushed the victim to Kailash Hospital in Kasna, where he was declared dead on arrival.Rampal Singh, station house officer of Kasna police station, said the cops were trying to find out where Emmanuel was headed.“He had with him an old identity card of Galgotia University. His cousin, with whom he had been staying in a rented flat, is a student of the same university. We’ll talk to him,” said Singh.Singh said a case had been registered against unidentified persons for rash driving and Emmanuel’s visa was being verified.“We are also scanning footage sourced from CC cameras installed along the road. Arrests will be made once we succeed in identifying the accused,” he added.Charles Benn, a member of EAKOE Total Health Solution for Nigeria People in India, told TOI that Emmanuel was into a business of selling garments in Greater Noida. “His younger brother is a student in Galgotias University, but is currently in Nigeria. His body is being sent to his family in Nigeria,” he added.
