The directions were issued on Thursday during a meeting of the administration with officials of DMRC and GDA along with Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, police and the traffic department.“Apart from separate entry and exit points, the DMRC has also been asked to provide porta cabins equipped with public address system at the existing parking lots of the metro stations. Cops will streamline vehicle movement at the parking areas from these temporary kiosks. The municipal corporation and police have been asked to address the problem of beggars and encroachers at the metro stations,” Maheshwari told TOI.Long-term solutions to mitigate traffic problems foreseen in the near future when the Dilshad Garden to New Bus Stand metro corridor is opened to public were also discussed at the meeting.“The DMRC has been asked to begin feeder bus services from Vaishali and Kaushambi metro stations in order to avoid vehicle congestion at these points. According to DMRC, plying feeder buses will not be a commercially viable option for them. But we will soon be making a formal proposal to the DMRC to begin feeder bus services at the existing metro stations.
