GNIDA starts one-time scheme for clearing dues

Noida: Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has launched a one-time resettlement scheme for land allottees who have failed to clear dues. “There is a provision to pay premium interest rate if the allottees default on payment. In the new settlement scheme, the defaulters have to fill the application form with a processing fee of Rs 2,000 by March 31, 2019. They will only be charged simple interest and not premium default fine,” said an official.The facility will be for those allottees whose property is free from cases or are not sub-judice. There is also a provision that the allottees will pay fine for land lease deed delay if the registration of properties is not done in time.

The defaulters have to apply afresh for the scheme and clear the dues with simple interest, and not the premium default interest.GNIDA said some people had been allotted plots before the financial year 2012-13 but they failed to pay the installments and were declared defaulters. “There is a provision to pay premium interest rate if the allottees default on payment. There is also a provision that the allottees will pay fine for land lease deed delay if the registration of properties is not done in time. In the new settlement scheme, the defaulters have to fill the application form with a processing fee of Rs 2,000 by March 31, 2019. They will only be charged simple interest and not premium default fine,” said an official.The facility will be for those allottees whose property is free from cases or are not sub-judice. K K Gupta, ACEO at GNIDA, said the move had been given the go ahead in the Authority’s last board meeting earlier this month.The application form and other details are available on the GNIDA website.
