Flyover suit: PSU told to pay Noida Rs 24 lakh

NOIDA: An arbitrator appointed by Allahabad high court has dismissed an application submitted by National Projects Construction Corporation (NPCCL) seeking Rs 1,171 crore from Noida Authority as increased project cost for development of a flyover in 2003. The project aimed to connect the residential sectors and villages along the expressway.On May 9, 2003, the Authority signed an MoU with NPCCL and the project cost on turnkey basis was Rs 83.63 crore. According to the agreement, the developer had to construct a six-lane flyway with four slip roads for pedestrians.However, in September 2003, the Authority asked the developer to stop the work since the development was not according to the specified guidelines.
