Customer care exec shot at by bikers in Sector 60

NOIDA: Two bike-borne men, suspected to be robbers, allegedly fired at a customer care executive, injuring him seriously,outside gate number 2 of the Uflex campus in Sector 60 on Tuesday.The victim, Rishikesh Rajput (23), an executive working with iEnergizer in Sector 60, has been shot at his abdomen, police said.According to Rishikesh’s friend, he is working at the company for the past one year and would walk to his rented accommodation in Sector 70. When Rishikesh’s resisted, one of the accused allegedly shot at him in his stomach and fled.A few minutes later, a cab driver spotted him lying there and took him to Fortis hospital, Sector 62, where he remains admitted.His roommates and parents were subsequently informed. According to police, Rishikesh was shot at on the left side of his abdomen.SHO, Sector 58, Pankaj Rai said the bullet has been removed from Rishikesh’s body and an FIR has been lodged under Section 307 (attempt to murder ) of IPC.However, the police are yet to mention robbery (Section 392 of IPC) in the FIR.Rai said that the same would be done in case the victim alleges loot in his statement. Rohit, his roommate, told TOI that Rishikesh met two bike-borne youths at the spot, who seemed to be drunk.“They misbehaved with him and took away his Redmi phone, Rs 100 in cash and a lunch box he was carrying,” he said.Rishikesh, who belongs to Mahoba district in Uttar Pradesh, stays in a rented accommodation in Sector 70 with some friends.Rohit said Rishikesh had been working in the evening shift from 3pm to 12 midnight and was returning from the office when the bike-borne assailants intercepted him and took him hostage at gunpoint.
