Noida to build a habitat centre in Sector 94

NOIDA: Union minister Mahesh Sharma on Friday announced that the government is planning to develop a habitat centre in Sector 94 . The Noida Authority will allot land for the development of the heritage centre, which will include an auditorium, conference halls, fitness centre, library and other amenities. The Authority had planned a similar centre in 2013, but the project failed to take off.Noida Authority officials confirmed the plan and said the centre would host events like cultural and musical programmes. The facility will be on the lines of India Habitat Centre in New Delhi and will promote cultural activities in the city.The minister made the announcement while addressing the Noida-Greater Noida-Yamuna (NGY) Infra Conclave in Sector 18 on Friday. The premises could also be used for academic seminars and business conferences, officials said.The conclave was attended by senior officials of the three authorities, as well as Noida MLA Pankaj Singh and UP commission for women president Vimla Batham.
