Man demands Rs. 50 lakh compensation from Myntra for wasting his time and energy. Myntra tries to settle case by offering Rs. 1000 voucher.

In what looks-like a case of treachery by a popular online shopping-website Myntra, a Noida resident has sent a legal notice demanding a compensation of Rs.50,59,000 from the e-commerce company.

According to the legal notice, the resident, Vishal Kashyap, placed an online order for three shirts on Dec 22, 2018. It should have been delivered by Dec 27. After missing the delivery date, when he didn’t hear about the status of his product, he made a call to Myntra support team and was assured that the parcel would get delivered within next 24 hours. Following which, the package never arrived till Jan 6, despite of several calls made to Myntra support team, which made several false promise of delivering it in next 24 hours everyday.

According to Kashyap, online shopping is supposed to save time and not waste more of it. Vishal’s legal notice stated that recovery of Rs.50,59,000/- has to be paid by Myntra for mental harassment, damages, loss of time and expenses incurred by him.

NYOOOZ tried reaching Myntra for an official statement, but did not receive any apt response. After which, the support team tried to settle the case by offering a 1000-bucks Myntra voucher.

In India, shopping online is increasing day by day and so is the rate of several types of online frauds.
