  • | Thursday | 17th January, 2019

NOIDA: A demand for an underground parking in C block park of sector 20 (one of the oldest sectors) to address high volume of cars was raised by RWA federation in a meeting with Noida Authority . “We have to first study a feasibility report on the matter. Other demands include conversion of electricity bill for compost machines from commercial to general (currently about 10 sectors have procured compost machines), a vet for stray dog/animal centre, an ICU at district hospital and more. Right now there’s no such plan,” said Rajeev Tyagi general manager (projects) Noida Authority. While CEO Alok Tandon assured action on stray don menace with a deployment of a vet at the stray animal centre, he urged RWA federation to give a written petition for conversion of electricity bills of compost machines from commercial to general to be presented to the power department.Later in the day the RWA federation delegation met newly appointed SSP Vaibhav Krishna and urged the need for tenant, vendor verification in residential sectors along with more patrolling and monthly meeting of RWAs with police personnel. The RWA federation also met SSP Vaibhav Krishna and discussed law and order measures for sector security later in the day.“We met CEO Alok Tandon and apprised him of the need for a designated parking for residents of sector 20, which is one of the oldest sectors of Noida, has grown in terms of population thereby leading to vehicular spill over on internal sector roads as well as a cause of daily acrimony amongst residents fighting for space,” said Suresh Tiwari, resident of sector 20 and senior vice president Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA).While FONRWA delegation suggested an underground parking to be built under C block park of sector 20 as a solution, Authority officials remained non-committal on the issue.
