NOIDA: Supply of Ganga water will be disrupted for 12 days from Tuesday as work related to connecting water pipelines will be undertaken at Dasna during this period. The pipelines, which were shifted earlier due to construction work of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, were not connected to some areas of Noida, Vasundhara and Ghaziabad. While water will be sourced from tubewells and ranney wells during the interim period, the Noida Authority has also arranged water tankers on standby. The Authority has, however, urged residents to be prepared for low supply during the period.“We will be having no supply of Ganga water from February 5-16 due to work related to connecting pipelines in Dasna. We will be resorting to supply from tubewells and ranney wells only during this period,” said BM Pokhriyal of the water department at the Authority.Even as the Authority has made arrangements for water tankers, officials urged residents not to waste water on washing cars or driveways of homes and confine to catering to basic needs. There will be low supply days as a result of this.
