The metro link is expected to be prepared simultaneously with the airport construction and once approved it will prove to be a big respite for the people planning to travel through the Jewar airport. Jewar is expected to be an airport of mighty proportions hence the connectivity becomes of essence. Travelling to the upcoming Jewar Airport will become much easier for the passengers with this proposed line.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning to build an exclusive metro line that would make travelling to the metro and reaching there on time a less cumbersome task. This metro project is still in the wraps and is awaiting approval from authorities.
Once approved the metro line will be able to cut travelling time of passengers significantly and create a strong connectivity between the Jewar airport and the rest of NCR.
The proposed metro line is said to be almost 30 kms long and have a 3km section inside the airport itself to make connectivity easier and more effecient. The metro line will go through sectors 17, 17A, 18, 20, 21, 22D, 22E, 28 and 29 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Area (YEIDA), whereas Pari Chowk is expected to be the interchange station. All the stations on the route are expected to be elevated.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) who made Noida’s Aqua line has been asked to present a feasibility report for the proposed airport metro line.
People travelling to the Jewar airport from Noida or Delhi will benefit from this metro line. The line will not only make the commute easier but will also save passengers from tedious jams and never ending traffic woes.
The metro line will be especially beneficial for people commuting from Delhi, Ghaziabad or other parts of NCR, who- if not for the metro link, will have to face heavy traffic and waste their time.
