Boy leaves home to buy map, goes missing

Ghaziabad: A 12-year-old boy, son of a tour operator, has been missing since Sunday evening. SP (city) Shlok Kumar said an FIR under Section 364 (kidnapping) of the IPC had been registered against unidentified persons at Kavi Nagar police station. Police, too, are tightlipped about the case.The tour operator has lodged a police complaint, saying that his son, a Class VII student, had left home around 6.15pm on Sunday to go to a stationery shop in Sector 10 to buy a map but did not return home. The pair of slippers he was wearing was found just 100 metres from his house in Raj Nagar in Sector 2.His parents declined to speak to the media, fearing that the safety of the boy might be compromised with.
