State-of-the-art bus terminal near Aqua Line station for better Noida commute

"The city bus terminus aims to address the huge problem of road transport and a dedicated centre catering to commuting within the city and outside. NOIDA: The much-awaited city bus terminus in Sector 82 will be unveiled by June this year, Noida Authority said on Tuesday.Once operational, the Rs 140 crore state-of-the-art terminus will facilitate movement of over 100 buses - both state and private - through 39 bays.A drop and pick-up space for cars, autos and taxis, and parking areas through dedicated entry and exit points will also be made available."While 80% of the civil work is complete, electrical work is nearing 70% completion. We have expedited work on the city bus terminus and it will be ready by June 30 this year," Rajeev Tyagi, general manager (projects), Noida Authority, told TOI .Spread across 31,400 sqm, the terminus will have a dedicated bus bay on the ground floor, while first and second floors will be for the transport department and other facilities like ticket counters, waiting area, cafeteria etc. The third to seventh floors will be dedicated to commercial use. A basement parking will also be provided.As the bus terminus falls on the Noida-Greater Noida metro route, it promises easy access to neighbouring metro stations such as Sector 71 and City Centre, officials said on Tuesday.According to Tyagi, the bus terminus will have all modern amenities, including waiting halls for passengers, information centre for travellers, ticket counters, refuelling and service stations, cafeteria, ATMs etc. "The complex aims to provide easy connectivity to travellers within the city and outside," he added.Pradeep Garg, senior manager of work circle 4, said the bus bays will be on the ground floor of the terminus, whereas the third to seventh floors will be commercial space such as offices and shops.
