So, based on circumstantial evidence, we took a suo moto cognisance of the situation and booked him under sections 124a (sedition) and 153A (persons who indulge in wanton vilification or attacks upon the religion, race, place of birth, residence, language) of the Indian Penal Code on Sunday night itself. He was arrested a day after on Monday evening,” said Rajpal Singh Tomar, the station house officer of Dankaur police station.He added that the accused had been sent to jail after he was produced in court on Monday.
