Poll training starts for cops in Noida

Noida: The Gautam Budh Nagar administration on Saturday started the process of distributing around 1 lakh electoral photo identity cards (EPICs) in Noida, 25,000 in Dadri and about 10,000 in Jewar. District magistrate B N Singh also flagged off 11 auto-rickshaws from Sector 19 as part of a voter awareness drive and carried out electoral training programme of all district officials, including police personnel, at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra in Sector 6.“In areas with over 200 booths, voter cards will be given by block-level officers (BLOs) from designated booths, while in areas less than 200 booths, BLOs will go to every house to give voter cards,” said city magistrate Shailendra Kumar Mishra.
