Centre making AAP calls raided, it claims EC was informed

Noida: The flying squad team (FST) and a team from Sector 58 police station raided a call centre in the area on Saturday after a complaint that calls favouring the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were being made from there.Officials at the call centre, V-Mac Research and Services, however, claimed that it had signed an official memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the party to make calls on its behalf.“Hence, no action was taken on the call centre,” the SSP’s public relation officer (PRO), Prabhat Dixit, said.Piyush Singh, circle officer 2, told TOI that the call centre has claimed that the MoU with AAP has been declared to the Election Commission.In another incident, two Fortuner cars were seized and two youths were booked under Section 151 (preventive arrest) CrPC when they resisted checking by an FST near Sector 54 police chowki area.Singh said the accused, Deepak Sharma and Manoj Sharma, indulged in misbehaviour with FST III.Sector 24 SHO Pradeep Tripathi said the accused are property dealers and are related to each other.
