2 held for setting ablaze own factory

They allegedly ran a factory on a rented premise which manufactured plastic medical tools like syringes in Site 5 of Kasna Industrial area. The incident also took the lives of two persons.“Investigations revealed that the accused had allegedly shifted all the expensive machines and tools to another place before setting the factory on fire. However, the factory shut down after they allegedly set it on fire on October 28, 2018 to claim the insurance amount of Rs 75 crore. Greater Noida: Two men were arrested on Wednesday morning for allegedly setting their own factory on fire in order to claim insurance money.The arrested men have been identified as Sayyed Mujahid Askari, a native of Omaxe Royal Residency in Sector 44 and Raj Singh from Sector Delta 1. They also allegedly threatened the owner of the factory premise and duping him of rents which was Rs 7 lakh per month after which we had sent them to jail but they got out on bail later,” said Muneesh Chauhan, the SHO of Surajpur police station.Both were again arrested on Wednesday after the court issued non-bailable warrants against them for not appearing on the day of hearing the case.
