Youth abducted, robbed of cash at ATM

He got down at Sector 16 metro station and was waiting at the intersection for a vehicle to return to his rented accommodation in Sector 12 when a silver colour Alto car stopped near him and the driver offered him a lift. Rathore told police that four more people, including the driver were seated inside the car. So, he sat on the back seat of the vehicle.“After driving for sometime, the assailants overpowered me and snatched Rs 500 in cash and an ATM card from me at gunpoint. The driver then drove to an ATM in Sector 18 and asked for the ATM pin and withdrew Rs 20,000 from my account,” as Rathore stated in the FIR.The youth further said that after driving around Sector 18 market, TGIP mall, sectors 20 and 39 police stations for about 30 minutes, the assailants threw him near Sector 16 intersection. The car then sped away, making it difficult for him to note down the number plate, he added.Rathore somehow managed to walk upto Sector 20 police station and filed a complaint against the assailants who have been booked under IPC Section 392 (robbery).
