Greater Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Authority has begun looking for an agency to handle a series of events slated for this year, the launch of the Noida International Airport sometime in July this year being the biggest draw. The Authority will also launch the Film City project later this year. Though dates of the events have not been finalised yet, the Authority has started work in the background. Shortlisting of an event management company that has handled at least five big-ticket events which have been presided by the top dignitaries of the country is currently underway.

Officials said the agency has to do branding and event execution expecting a turnout of 25,000 to 30,000 people. The agency needs to have a full-fledged catering staff with chefs having experience of working at 5-star properties.

YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh said, “Several key projects are going to be launched during the second half of 2021. A number of VIPs will participate in these events. Also apart from the Jewar airport, Film City, Toy Park and MSME park are schemes that have attracted investors from all over the country. Arranging for logistics, resources and services during the events will be outsourced to the empanelled agencies.”

The agency will be given the task to conceptualise, design, execute, manage and recycle the items that are used while hosting the ev- ents. Apart from site preparation, erecting temperature-controlled pandals, preparing the helipad, accommodation for PM, CM and other VIPs, landscaping, parking, toilets, welcome desk, security paraphernalia and emergency healthcare will be the responsibility of the agency, officials said.
