Fire in Noida factory, none hurt

Noida, Jun 17 (PTI) A major fire broke out in a multi-storey factory in Noida on Friday evening, prompting rescue and relief operations after which the blaze was brought under control at the site, officials said. No individual was injured in the blaze that took place around 5.45 pm in the D block of the industrial Sector 7 of the city, Chief Fire Service Officer Arun Kumar Singh said. Imported auto-scrubber machines were stored in the factory, he said. "The fire had broken out on the second floor of the building. There were two-three more factories which were adjacent to the building and vulnerable to catching fire. Firefighters and 10 water tenders were rushed to the spot after which the blaze was controlled," Singh said. "The fire was prevented from spreading to other floors or to the adjacent buildings. No person was hurt during the whole episode," he said. The exact cause of the fire and the damage caused to the property was yet to be ascertained, the officer said. PTI KIS CK CK
