Fire at Noida shop, none hurt

Noida, Dec 8 (PTI) A fire broke out inside a shop on the second floor of a building in Uttar Pradesh"s Noida on Thursday evening, prompting rescue and relief measures at the site, officials said.  The fire department was alerted about the fire inside a home decor and lighting shop located in Sector 104 at around 6 pm, a senior official said.Earlier, a local police official had wrongly said that the fire broke out in a restaurant. "Teams of firefighters and local police rushed to the Monarch Towers from where the fire was reported ad 6.01 pm. The fire was brought under control shortly," Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Choubey said."Four people were trapped in the second-floor shop who were rescued by firefighters using a ladder," Choubey said.He said no individual suffered any injuries in the episode.  The cause of the fire and the damage done to the property were being assessed, the official said.
