GHAZIABAD: The police on Thursday morning found the 13-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped from Mahindra Enclave area in Kavi Nagar while on the way to school on Wednesday. The girl was found by the cops near Columbia Asia Hospital along NH-24 with her alleged kidnapper. When asked if the girl was sexually assaulted, Rai said that would be ascertained after her medical examination. But the circumstances under which the girl disappeared raises questions on the kidnapping theory. "The girl left early for school on Wednesday and instead of taking the usual route she took a different route which threw doubt on the abduction theory," a source said. The SHO of the Kavi Nagar police station is still treating the case as one of kidnapping even though sources in the police department said that the girl had most probably gone with the youth of her own volition. "We had launched a manhunt on Wednesday and tracked the phone numbers of possible suspects which we had zeroed in on after talking to the girl's family members," said Hemant Rai, SHO Kavi Nagar police station.
