NOIDA: Lt Col Satyendra Verma (retd) successfully performed India's highest BASE (building, antenna, span and earth) jump from a Noida building on Saturday.Verma jumped from Supertech Group's Supernova tower, 600 feet above ground level, in Sector 94.The 48-year-old retired army officer has over 2,400 sky dives, 350 wingsuit jumps and 54 BASE jumps to his credit.He had earlier jumped from the 450-foot Doordarshan TV Tower, a telecom tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the Perrine Bridge in the US.For his accomplishments, the retired officer has received three mentions in Limca Book of Records, and was felicitated with the Tenzing Norgay Adventure Award (which is equivalent to the Arjuna Award) by the President of India in 2015.
