Railways will ensure uninterrupted coal supply to at least Barauni and Kanti thermal power plants,” ECR CPRO Rajesh Kumar said. The CPRO said the ECR GM assured the NTPC officials that railways will complete electrification work between Kaparpura and Kanti stations within three months. PATNA: The East Central Railway (ECR) held a meeting with the director and officials of the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) here on Friday to work out a comprehensive plan for uninterrupted supply of coal to thermal power stations in the state. The meeting also listed priorities for both railways and NTPC for early completion of the ongoing power projects in the state.“ECR general manager L C Trivedi held a threadbare discussion with NTPC director Prakash Triwary on providing direct connectivity to thermal power stations at Nabinagar and Barh. Railways must keep passengers informed about actual running time of trains,” the GM said, adding railway staff must be friendly with passengers during journey to earn appreciation from them. The GM asked them to keep a close watch on the movement of passenger trains, especially the ones originating from other zonal railways but terminated at different stations under ECR jurisdiction.“Efforts should be made to run all mail and express trains on time.
