Foundation stone for Chhapra medical college to be laid in October

CHHAPRA: Following the foundation laying of a double-decker bridge at Chhapra on Wednesday, the Saran headquarters will soon witness the foundation laying of a medical college in October.This was announced by state health minister Magal Pandey on Wednesday during the foundation laying ceremony of the double-decker flyover here. The proposed medical college will be constructed on JP University premises utilizing an estimated outlay of Rs 374crore. Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi said, “Between 1990- 2004 the RJD government could spend only Rs. Likewise, Gopalganj MP Janak Ram demanded establishment of record rooms at Gopalganj and Siwan to ease the problems of the people as they have to come to Chhapra for getting a copy of land records. 6,000 crore, while the NDA government has spent Rs 1.19 crore in the last fiscal.” He added that during 2018-19, the state government is committed to spend Rs17,000 crore on construction of roads.Maharajganj MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal demanded shifting of Chhapra district jail to another place and a bridge over river Gandak at Panapur.

The dignitaries in the foundation- laying ceremony for the flyover made some more big- ticket announcements, including production of rail engines from Marhoura factory, net of flyovers and railway overbridges and bridge over Ganga connecting Patna.Saran MP and former Union minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy had reminded people about electrification of Aquilpur panchayat at the expense of Rs 250 crore, covering a number of villages for the first time after Independence of the country.
