Miscreants create ruckus at B D College thrash pupils

PATNA: Some outsiders opened fire and created a ruckus on B D College campus around 11.30am here on Friday.The forcibly entered the campus and paralysed college functioning for about two hours. However, apprehending trouble on the college campus, the college administration had informed the Gardanibagh police to deploy armed policemen on the campus on Friday to prevent any untoward situation. The college administration had submitted a written complaint with the Gardanibagh police station in the matter. “Had the Gardanibagh police acted swiftly, violence and disturbances could have been averted,” the principal said.Meanwhile, the police claimed to have identified a few miscreants involved in the incident through the CCTV footage on the campus. They also thrashed a few students when they tried to force them out from the college campus.The situation, however, was brought under control when the Gardanibagh police reached the college around 1pm after repeated calls made by college principal Prof Sanjoy Kumar to the district control room and SSP office.According to Kumar, the exact reason behind the incident was not known.
