Schoolboy murder Two suspects not arrested yet

PATNA: Police have failed to arrest prime suspects Pappu Kumar (35) and his friend Lucky Kumar (25) in the six-year-old Abhimanyu Kumar’s murder case even after six days of the incident on July 8. He said investigation were still on in the case and police were conducting raids to arrest Pappu and Lucky. On July 8 night, the boy tore the girl’s copy while she was studying in her room. She was sent to the remand home after producing her before juvenile justice board (JJB). The private school is at Devichak under the Fatuha police station area in Patna district.“The boy had seen the girl and Pappu inside the hostel bathroom on July 6.

Abhimanyu was found dead on his bed of Sephali International School hostel on July 9 morning.Pappu was the private security guard of the school where Abhimanyu studied in standard 1 and lived in its hostel on the same premises. A Class VIII girl student of the school has confessed to strangulating Abhimanyu on his bed as he had seen her with Pappu in a compromising position in the hostel bathroom on July 6. She was sent to the remand home after producing her before juvenile justice board (JJB). The private school is at Devichak under the Fatuha police station area in Patna district.“The boy had seen the girl and Pappu inside the hostel bathroom on July 6. On July 8 night, the boy tore the girl’s copy while she was studying in her room. When she tried to beat him, Abhimanyu threatened the girl to tell everyone about the bathroom incident,” SP (rural) Anand Kumar said and added the girl was so scared that she strangulated the boy the same night.The SP said though the girl confessed to have committed the crime single-handedly, several things still under suspicion would be cleared only after the arrest of Pappu and his friend Lucky. “The crime scene was recreated and it corroborated the facts stated by the girl during investigation and in the post mortem report,” the SP said.“Some long hair strands seized from Abhimanyu’s bed will be sent to central forensic science laboratory (CFSL) Hyderabad for DNA matching with that of the accused girl,” he said.The SP said even the boy’s bed and his clothes were sent for forensic analysis. He said investigation were still on in the case and police were conducting raids to arrest Pappu and Lucky.
