NAWADA: NGO ‘Seva’ Sadan secretary Saurabh Suman surrendered before the Nawada CJM court on Monday. She had been absconding in the RJD leader Kailash Paswan’s murder case lodged on July 6. Suman told media persons outside the court that she was framed in Paswan’s murder case.Suman was awarded the President’s medal in 2016 for ‘commendable’ work in the field of women’s emancipation. Main accused Chhotu Gupta, in his confessional statement to Nawada SP Hari Prasath S, alleged that Suman had given him ‘supari’ (contract) of one katha residential land and Rs1 lakh to kill Paswan.While Chhotu was nabbed from Bokaro, his three other associates — Gautam Kumar, Vivek Kumar and Umesh Singh — were arrested from Nawada’s Nardiganj. Chhotu and his associates had decapitated Paswan on July 6 and buried the head on the banks of Panchane river under the Nardiganj police station area. His body was dumped at Chhabilapur under the Khudaganj police station area in Nalanda district to hoodwink the police.Sources said the Nawada police would seek Suman’s remand in the case to know the truth.
