No more BSEB list colleges to fill vacant seats

PATNA: The Class XII pass-out students, who have not been able to secure admission to any graduate course in any state government college, still have a chance to make it even though the admission process on the basis of the third merit list issued by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has ended.The admissions based on the third merit list of students who had applied through the Online Felicitation System for Students (OFSS), concluded on Tuesday.The BSEB has said the OFSS candidates whose names did not figure in the three merit lists or who could not take admission due to personal reasons, can re-apply directly to colleges against vacant seats . Candidates can select the college of their choice and re-apply for admission at the college without paying any amount.The new candidates who will register themselves between September 13 and 15 can also apply directly to the college of their choice.The admissions will take place in all the nine universities, except Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) where the employees have been on indefinite strike since September 5.The BSEB will announce the new dates for admission on the basis of third merit list as well as for direct admissions in the colleges of VKSU later, Kishor said.According to a BSEB official, around five lakh admission aspirants had applied through OFSS.
