Bihar CM Nitish Kumar admitted to AIIMS for health check up

PATNA: Bihar CM and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar was on Tuesday admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi for a health check-up.Sources said, CM was admitted to the private ward of the hospital due to some problems in his eyes and knees. I have finalised seat-sharing with BJP’s national president. He reached the hospital around 8.30 am this morning.Contacted over phone, JD(U) national secretary general K C Tyagi, while confirming the CM’s admission in the AIIMS, said the health check-up continued till 5 pm in the evening. However, I cannot reveal the number of seats for JD(U) at this moment because we have resolved that we will announce the details together. I can assure you that we have got a respectable share.

The findings of check-up were yet to come.“There was no political meeting of CM in Delhi today,” Tyagi claimed saying, “If there will be any political meeting of Nitish, we will inform.”JD(U) national general secretary (Organisation) RCP Singh told reporters that Nitish had gone to Delhi for routine check-up as he was down with viral fever last week.Singh said, during his Delhi stay the JD(U) president would also hold talk with BJP’s top leadership on the issue of seat sharing for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.Earlier on Sunday, Nitish had said he and BJP chief Amit Shah have worked out a seat-sharing formula for the coming Lok Sabha polls and the JD(U) has got a “respectable share.”“Two rounds of talk (on seat-sharing) with BJP chief Amit Shah have been held. I have finalised seat-sharing with BJP’s national president. I can assure you that we have got a respectable share. However, I cannot reveal the number of seats for JD(U) at this moment because we have resolved that we will announce the details together. I have not revealed the number of seats to even those people who remain around me,” sources told TOI while quoting Nitish’s address to the party colleagues at the JD(U)’s state executive body meet held at the CM’s residence in Patna on Sunday.
