This Jansadharan is now Antyodaya Express

PATNA: The East Central Railway (ECR) has decided to convert Jaynagar-Lokmanya Tilak Jansadharan Express (15547/15548) into Antyodaya Express with Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches.The new Jaynagar-Lokmanya Tilak Antyodaya Express is scheduled to run from September 24 from Jaynagar, ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar said on Friday.According to Kumar, the Railway Board has given its approval to the same.The modern technology-fitted LHB coaches have bio toilets and anti-graffiti system. They also have mobile charging points inside them.Each coach is fitted with at least two water purifiers. They also have inter-connected fire extinguishers. These trains include Gaya-Mughalsarai passenger (63295/63296), Gaya-Dehri passenger (63291/ 63292, 63289/63290, 53363/53364) and Asansol-Varanasi Express (63553/ 63554) trains, Kumar said and added the railways was also running a special train for railway job aspirants from Gaya Junction to Jabalpur from September 22 to 30 to cope with the rush of examinees for Group-D category railway jobs. “These coaches have extra space for passengers to keep their luggage,” the CPRO said, adding the railways had already taken a decision to replace all its existing coaches with LHB coaches in near future.Meanwhile, the railways has decided to provide stoppage of certain trains at Punpun Ghat and Anugrah Narain Road for the convenience of pilgrims visiting Gaya during the ‘Pitrapaksha’ from September 22 to October 9.Three pairs of passenger trains, including Purnia-Hatia Express (18625/18626), Patna-Sasaram Intercity Express (13243/13244) and Palamu Express (13347/13348) have been given temporary stoppage at Punpun Ghat during the period, the CPRO said.Similarly, five pairs of passenger trains have been given stoppage at Anugrah Narayan Road during the period.
