In another incident, criminals shot dead businessman Sunil Shah (35) near Tajpur bus stand in Samastipur district on Sunday. He had contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election on BSP ticket from Muzaffarpur constituency. PATNA: Two bike-borne criminals killed former Muzaffarpur mayor Samir Kumar (50) and his driver Rakesh Kumar Singh (35) near Primary Teacher Education College at Chandwara under the Muzaffarpur Town Police Station area around 6.30pm on Sunday.The criminals pumped at least 20 bullets into Samir’s body when he was returning home from the market. After the news spread like wild fire, local people blocked traffic. Police could not identify the assailants.
