In a series of tweets, Tejashwi alleged that Nitish has installed the CCTV camera with an intention to keep an eye on visitors in his bungalow and activities inside his bedroom as well as office.“Is this Nitishji’s paranoia for security or many other insecurities, frustrations and apprehensions with that he has put only CCTV camera right on the boundary wall between his and mine residence to snoop over? Why CM needs a camera when there is already a permanent security check post (sic)?” Tejashwi tweeted on Thursday.“Bihar CM’s residence is surrounded by main roads from three sides and leader of opposition's residence from the fourth side. But CM felt the need for CCTV only on the wall bordering his political adversary’s residence. Someone should tell him that these petty tricks will prove futile,” Tejashwi’s another tweet read.He further tweeted, “Bihar government must tighten the security whenever required for the CM, who already has Z-plus category cover. The CM resides in high security zone but is it preferable to install high resolution HD CCTV cameras facing, snooping and interfering the privacy of neighbour (sic)?”Raking up the issue of deteriorating law and order in the state, Tejashwi tweeted, “With every passing second a heinous crime is committed in Patna, leave alone the whole state. But autocratic and insecure CM is more bothered about snooping into day to day activities of the opponents and infringing their privacy rather than the security of the citizens (sic).”Tejashwi also accused the CM of amassing government bungalows. “Nitish has occupied three chief ministerial bungalows (two in Patna and one in Delhi) and one exclusive plush suite in Bihar Bhavan. Why self-proclaimed austere CM of a poor state has this obsession with luxury and grandeur? Has he got any morality to answer this (sic?” he tweetedMeanwhile, state BJP vice-president Devesh Kumar has slammed Tejashwi for his tweets against the CM. “Tejashwi is simply getting paranoid. It is the duty of the state to protect its citizens as well as the CM, but to give it a different twist is simply sad. Petty politics should not be done on serious issues like CM’s security,” Devesh said.IG rejects charge: IG (security) B S Meena on Thursday rejected privacy intrusion charge levelled by leader of opposition in state assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav against CM Nitish Kumar.Meena told TOI over the phone that three CCTV cameras were installed by a private firm on the premises of CM’s residence, which falls under high security zone, on a trial basis. “None of these cameras are for anyone’s privacy intrusion or snooping. While one of the cameras is visible from the bungalow of Tejashwi, two other similar cameras have been installed on the other side of the CM’s house,” Meena said.
