PATNA: Smaller NDA allies in state continue to reach out to BJP for seeking more seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan’s son and party’s parliamentary board chairman Chirag Paswan met BJP Bihar incharge Bhupendra Yadav in New Delhi on Thursday.Chirag told reporters after the meeting that discussions on seat-sharing were held in the meeting. “It’s November now and LJP wants finalization of seat-sharing arrangement in the NDA so that all allies can start preparations for the elections in full swing. Talks are being held in highly positive manner and we are hopeful that a formal announcement regarding seat-sharing will be made at the earliest,” Chirag said.Chirag also cautioned RLSP chief Upendra Kushwaha against making provocative statements against CM Nitish Kumar. “The way Kushwaha is making statements against the CM is not good. It is not necessary that every issue should come in public domain. I believe any issue in the alliance can be resolved through mutual talks,” he said.Chirag also hoped that Kushwaha would remain in the NDA. “The LJP has always acted as a cementing factor in the alliance and we want RLSP to remain with us. However, the way Kushwaha is making certain statements is a cause of concern,” Chirag said.LJP has been demanding seven Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, the same number on which it had contested in 2014 general elections.Meanwhile, RLSP chief Kushwaha on Thursday said he would try to meet BJP chief Amit Shah in New Delhi on Friday. “I am leaving for New Delhi. I will try to meet the BJP chief to hold talks on seat-sharing,” Kushwaha tweeted at 4pm. RLSP has been demanding at least three Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
