Govt delinks block development officers from piped water scheme

He asked the officials concerned to give attention to ensuring the quality of pipes being used under the scheme.In August this year, sleuths of Vigilance Investigation Bureau had arrested the BDO of Rampur (Bhabua) Varsha Tarvey while she was allegedly accepting Rs 1.15 lakh from a mukhiya for clearing bills relating to the water supply scheme.Earlier in January this year, a group of panchayat ward members in Muzaffarpur district had submitted a memorandum to the CM alleging that Saraiya BDO had been demanding a commission of 41% for clearing bills under the scheme.
