Youth killed in Biharsharif

Biharsharif: Unidentified criminals shot a youth at Laheri locality of Biharsharif under the same police station area on Thursday evening.The deceased, Shashi Ranjan alias Chunnu, was a resident of Amber locality in Biharsharif, who worked as a land broker. While the other deceased Sanjeev Singh too was an accused in the same murder case, he had been absconding for all these years. He was killed when he had gone to meet someone at Mathuria Mohalla in the town around 9pm on Thursday.The deceased’s brother Sujay Kumar said his brother had some dispute with a person at Mathuria. On November 13, miscreants shot one Diksha Singh and his nephew Sanjeev Singh at Dharampur village under Rajgir police station area. He had gone home to celebrate Chhath.“An FIR against Vijay Singh and nine others was lodged but none of them has been arrested so far,” said a police officer.

He was taken to Laheri Mohalla by some people where he was shot dead.Laheri police station SHO said a probe is on to nab the culprits. On November 13, miscreants shot one Diksha Singh and his nephew Sanjeev Singh at Dharampur village under Rajgir police station area. The deceased Diksha was convicted for killing three brothers of a neighbour Vijay Singh, after a dispute over a plot of land in 1996. While the other deceased Sanjeev Singh too was an accused in the same murder case, he had been absconding for all these years. He had gone home to celebrate Chhath.“An FIR against Vijay Singh and nine others was lodged but none of them has been arrested so far,” said a police officer. He added that raids are on to arrest the accused.
