He was set free on Sunday.SHO of Jakkanpur police station Pramod Kumar said an FIR was lodged against Singh on the basis of a written complaint filed by AKU assistant registrar Dipankar Shree Gyan in July this year. Kumar said Singh had joined the university as an inspector of college in 2013. He was later given additional charge of registrar."Gyan had alleged in his FIR that Singh produced fake experience and MTech certificates to secure job," the SHO said. He added investigations revealed that Singh had produced an experience certificate issued by Tek Chand Mann College of Engineering, Sonepat, while applying for the job at AKU. "However, the college authorities denied having issued the experience certificate to Singh," the SHO said."Singh had produced an MTech (information technology) certificate issued by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Mangalore, as proof of his educational qualification.
