PATNA: Three unidentified thieves burgled the flat of judge Shyam Kishore Jha at Vijay Nagar under Rupaspur police station area in the city on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The robbers decamped with valuables worth Rs1 lakh from the flat.Rupaspur SHO Rajesh Kumar Sinha said the matter came to light around 11pm on Saturday when some people spotted the doors without locks and no one inside the flat. He said that Jha was posted as principal judge of the family court in Jehanabad and the flat had been locked since a fortnight.Sinha said the thieves, using stairs, reached the fifth floor of Triveni Apartment and entered his flat (503) after breaking the locks on the main entrance. "An FIR was lodged by judge's wife Abha Jha, who reached Patna from Jehanabad on Sunday. She told the police that a gold chain and a pair of silver anklets worth Rs1 lakh were stolen by the thieves," he said.The SHO said three thieves were spotted in the CCTV footage of the apartment. They were seen after Friday midnight when the guards were fast asleep. "The thieves reached the seventh floor through the staircase and barged into the flat," he said.
