CUSB team shines in RBI essay contest

PATNA: Economics department (MA) students Atul Kumar, Sheo Rama and Anjana of Central University of South Bihar CUSB ) won the regional round of the RBI Policy Challenge-2019. They were guided by assistant professor Atish Kumar Dash.The participants wrote an essay on the topic ‘Banking Sector in India: Challenges and Opportunities’ and were judged on different criteria like writing, problem solving and presentation skills.According to CUSB public relations officer Mudassir Alam, “The winning team will participate in the zonal round in Kolkata on February 1. The national winner will be awarded a cash prize worth Rs 1 lakh and an opportunity to intern with the RBI for three months.”CIMP: Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) and Southampton Business School (SBS)-England will jointly organize a Global Leadership Conference at CIMP on January 17.“The conference aims to discuss the organizational, individual and ethical challenges that leaders usually face in a complex, uncertain business environment and corporate governance,” CIMP director V Mukunda Das said on Monday and added SBS head Martin Broad, associate dean Sabu Padmadas and faculty member Paul Bennett would attend the conference.There will be two pre-conference talks on January 16 by Paurav Shukla, management and marketing head at Essex Business School-England and Pathik Pathak, faculty director of social entrepreneurship at University of Southampton DMI: A number of development experts, representing NGOs, academic institutions and consultancy organizations as well as students participated in a weeklong talk on ‘Development Practitioners’ Perspective’ which concluded at Development Management Institute (DMI) on Saturday.While Better World Foundation chairperson Manoj Prabhakar said people of Bihar welcomed development interventions, World Bank consultant Debraj Behera talked about the possibilities of working in the development sector.Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University-Samastipur’s assistant professor Rashmi also addressed the students.
