He, however, declined to give details saying RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav had been authorized to brief media about the seats to be contested by the GA constituents.Gohil said Tejashwi would hold a joint press conference in Patna in the presence of state Congress president Madan Mohan Jha. However, Tejashwi is yet to announce the date and venue of the press conference.Sources in GA said Congress scaled down its demand from 11 seats to nine to reach an agreement with Lalu Prasad’s RJD.As per the agreement, sources said, RJD and Congress will contest 19 and nine seats, respectively while former Union minister Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP has been given four seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM(S) two, Sharad Yadav’ LJD two and Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party one seat. CPI(ML) has also been given two seats, sources said.Sources said the two seats which Congress agreed to leave were offered to CPI(ML), which has already declared Raju Yadav as its candidate from Ara. Interestingly, the CPI, which wanted to field former JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar from Begusarai, could not be accommodated in the grand alliance. Sources said HAM(S) has decided to field JD(U)’s former MLC Upendra Prasad from Aurangabad.In a quick political development, Upendra on Tuesday left the ruling JD(U) and joined HAM(S).
