PATNA: Cops on Sunday arrested a youth for his alleged involvement in the gang-rape of a 19-year-old married woman in Ram Krishna Nagar police station area on Friday.Ram Krishna Nagar police station SHO Subodh Kumar said the victim had named her boyfriend Rakesh Kumar (24), Raju Kumar (22), Shashi Kumar (19) and two more unidentified youths as accused in her FIR lodged on Saturday.He said Shashi was arrested on Sunday. The SHO said the victim and Rakesh knew each other for the past several months. He said Shashi is a resident of NTPC Colony under the Ram Krishna Nagar police station area.“The victim is married but her husband had left her. She was living with her parents in a rented accommodation,” the SHO said.Police were trying to locate Rakesh’s rented room where the victim was raped. According to the FIR, Raju called her on cellphone and asked the victim to reach D-Sector in Kankarbagh area as Rakesh wanted her to visit his rented accommodation. After she reached Rakesh’s room, he along with Raju and two others took turn to rape her.The victim further alleged that she had become unconscious. When she gained consciousness, Rakesh’s another friend Shashi was inside the room. Later, she somehow retuned home but did not tell anything to her parents out of fear.Meanwhile, police sources privy to preliminary investigation of the case said the victim had started ignoring Rakesh after developing friendship with another youth. “The incident seems be an act of revenge by Rakesh,” sources said.
