Good news for inter and matriculation candidates: Bihar board passes fell in two subjects

There is good news for students studying in 10th and 12th of the state. Taking an important decision, the Bihar School Examination Committee has passed the candidates failing in one or two subjects in Matriculation and Intermediate. 

There is good news for students studying in 10th and 12th of the state. Taking an important decision, the Bihar School Examination Committee has passed the candidates failing in one or two subjects in Matriculation and Intermediate. This decision has been taken in view of the Corona crisis. In this regard, the Bihar Board had sent a proposal to the Education Department, on which the Department has approved. The board`s proposal will benefit 1, 32, 486 of Inter and 2,08,147 candidates of matriculation. The board has taken this decision for 2020 candidates only. 

It is not possible to take compartmental examination during corona crisis

Anand Kishore, chairman of Bihar School Examination Committee, says that it is not possible to take a compartmental examination of inter and matriculation right now during the Corona crisis. In such a situation, the board has decided to pass the candidates who failed the inter and matriculation examination in one or two subjects. This will benefit about 2.40 lakh candidates. Now they can enroll in inter or graduate. For this, a meeting was also convened by the Education Department on Thursday, in which state Education Minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department RK Mahajan and Chairman of the Examination Committee Anand Kishore attended.

The list of all successful candidates has been put on the board`s website. The candidates can check their result on the board`s website. Out of this, 54.81 per cent of Inter candidates were required to be given additional grace, while 68.07 per cent of matriculation candidates were passed with additional grace.
