Bihar Independence Day 2020: CM Nitish Kumar - New service conditions for contract teachers soon after flagging

In his address after the flag hoisting, the Chief Minister also announced the implementation of the new Service Conditions Rules for employed teachers soon. He gave information about the government`s work being done in the Corona period. It also said that as promised, the government has delivered electricity to every house. Now, every farm has the goal of providing electricity for irrigation. The Chief Minister said that his goal is to include Bihar among the top five states of the country.

Before reaching Gandhi Maidan, the Chief Minister paid his respects to the immortal martyrs of garlanding the Amar Jawan Jyoti at Kargil Chowk.

Addressing the main function of Independence Day, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the government is conscious from the beginning and is working continuously to deal with Corona. All people are engaged in work in their own way. After the lockdown ended, Corona`s transition increased across the country. Informing about the measures to tackle this infection in Bihar, the Chief Minister said that the number of investigations is being increased continuously. Also, Kovid Center, Covid Care Center and Dedicated Center have been arranged. It has also been decided to give one month equivalent salary for medical personnel engaged in the battle of Corona. He said that it has also been decided to pay pension equal to salary and compassionate till the date of retirement when he dies while treating Corona. Referring to the lockdown, the Chief Minister said that during that time work was done for the migrants. Efforts were made to create employment.

The Chief Minister said that a lot of people talk a lot of things. At first we thought that summer would be over Corona, but it did not happen. Many things have gone awry due to Corona. People should not be afraid about corona. The government is working.

The Chief Minister announced to implement the new Service Conditions Rules for employed teachers soon. Said that they will also be given the benefit of EPF. The Terms of Service Rules will be duly announced soon. He also informed about the creation of 35916 teachers posts. Said that the process will be started for the appointment of four hundred college teachers.

Referring to floods in Bihar, the Chief Minister said that more than 81 lakh population of 1303 panchayats of 130 blocks of 16 districts of the state are affected by the floods. The state government is carrying out relief work. Corona investigations have also been arranged in relief camps. The government is giving six thousand rupees to the affected families for food and clothing. This money is going directly to the bank account. So far, Rs 467 crore has been added to the accounts of 7.79 lakh families. The balance will also be received in 10 days from the week.

The Chief Minister reiterated the policy of zero tolerance on crime, corruption and communalism in Bihar. People have done legal system and social harmony. He described the crime as under control. Said that, looking at the national average, Bihar ranks 23rd in terms of crime. For land dispute settlement, it is mandatory for the Circle Officer and the Station In-charge to have a meeting in the police station every week. DM will also meet every month.

Counting the achievements of Rakar, the Chief Minister said that roads and bridges are being constructed and widened. Now it is possible to reach Patna from any corner of the state in five hours. An amount of Rs 54461 crore has been spent so far in the construction of the road under the head of the state government. After 2005, 18 mega bridges were constructed in Bihar.

This was done through the state plan. 34287 crore has been spent for rural roads.

The Chief Minister said that he had said in Gandhi Maidan itself in 2012 that if there is no improvement in power, then he will not go to ask for votes. Now electricity has been delivered to every house. In October 2018 itself or the work was completed.

Now the government is providing electricity to the farmers` fields. Next, we will supply water to every field for irrigation.

A lot of work has been done in the electricity sector. All shabby wires have also been replaced.

Said that the government is also working in the field of health. Vaccination was very bad in Bihar. Earlier it was only 18 percent, which has been increased to 86 percent.

The Chief Minister said that Patna Museum will be expanded further. It will be connected underground to the Bihar Museum.

Their goal is to include Bihar among the top five states in the country. In the end, he said that we should take a pledge to put Bihar on the map of the country as a prosperous state.
