Low pressure area remains in Bay of Bengal. Due to this effect, there is rain in various areas of Bihar including Patna. According to meteorologists, there are chances of rain and lightening strike in the state on Saturday as well. Patna is cloudy on Saturday. In such a situation, there is a possibility of light rain in Patna during Independence Day celebrations. Earlier on Thursday, there was rain in Patna in the morning and evening.

Monsoon is active in Bihar these days. Light to heavy rains are taking place all over the state including Patna. Two days ago, more than 100 mm of rainfall was recorded in many places. The capital received 15.7 mm of rain on Friday.

According to Patna meteorological center`s senior scientist Sanjay Kumar, the axis of monsoon is currently passing from Jharkhand to Tripura. Currently there is a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Apart from this, there is also a low pressure area in North Bihar. Due to this, there is light rain in various areas of the state. This monsoon activity may continue till August 16. There is a possibility of more rains especially in the southeast parts of the state. Rains will continue in North and Central Bihar as well. By the end of August, Bihar may receive a record one thousand millimeters of rain.

Monsoon can affect Independence Day celebrations

Given the possibility of rain continuing till Sunday, it may also have an impact on the Independence Day program. However, this rain will become a boon for the farmers of the state. Farmers who have not been able to plant paddy till now will be able to do this work.
